ABOUT

Cultivate Interiors is a boutique interior design studio rooted in Austin, Texas and inspired by a lifetime of travel and well-loved homes. We create eclectic, cozy, curated spaces that feel collected—not contrived—and beautifully livable for the way you actually do life.

Our ethos is simple: Design to nourish the soul. Your rooms should warm your spirit, quiet the noise outside, and welcome family and friends with ease.

How we work:
Every project begins with a short questionnaire to understand goals, budget, and timeline. We’ll meet on site (or virtually) to learn how you live and what the space needs to do—whether it’s a primary home, a rental, or a flip. From there, you’ll receive a clear plan, pricing, and schedule. We offer hourly or fixed-fee packages based on scope.

What clients say about the spaces we create:
"At home. Like being wrapped in a warm blanket, with the outside world turned down and a sense of ease taking over."

That’s the goal, every time. And we want the process to feel the same way—comfortable, honest, enjoyable, even fun. If we've made it easier than you expected, we've done our job.

STORY

Danielle Scarpino, Founder of Cultivate Interiors

I’ve been rearranging “rooms” since childhood—studying floor plans in my parents’ books, moving furniture for fun, and tagging along to flea markets and DIY projects. That curiosity led me to design school in Los Angeles (FIDM), where I began my career styling interiors for homes and retail boutiques.

An unexpected detour into fashion followed: I worked in styling and public relations during the launch of Bloomingdale’s West Coast stores. After growing my family and another move, I pivoted to the health and wellness world—until the pull back to interiors became impossible to ignore.

Today, my work brings that full circle: a passion for curating beautiful, comfortable, and truly livable homes. My approach is collaborative and personal; I listen closely, translate your style even when it’s hard to put into words, and obsess over the details—space planning, flow, light, materials—so the finished rooms feel effortless.

LIFE

I grew up moving often having an expat father, which opened my eyes to design at every scale—from English castles and the ruins of Machu Picchu to the sun-washed coast of St. Tropez and the grand architecture of Recoleta in Argentina. Those experiences shaped my love for layered, well-traveled interiors.

Austin, TX is home now, and I’m endlessly inspired by its curated bars, restaurants, and creative makers. On weekends you’ll still find me hunting vintage, mixing textures, and chasing that perfect balance of soul and function.

My two kids, Alec and Ava, also live here, and I care deeply about creating a place they can always return to—a home base that feels familiar, warm, and ready for late dinners, long talks, and new chapters. Our golden doodle, Solo, is my constant sidekick around the house and a daily reminder to design for real life—comfort, ease, and spaces you can truly live in.

I share life with my partner, Dave—an avid Star Wars fan who proudly shows it off (an interior designer’s near-worst nightmare). Designing a home that feels like “us” has been a fun challenge: editing and framing the beloved action figures and posters so they read classy and polished, without turning the house into a star wars man cave!

That’s the heart of my approach: welcoming, personal, and beautifully livable—so everyone who walks in the door feels at home.
